Art for Youth

The Boulder School of Fine Art offers classses for young people who love art and want to explore and develop their natural talents. We offer after school classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well as a July Art Camp.

Draw, Paint, Create!

Rick Dallago, Instructor

Meets Tuesdays from 4-5:30

Ages 9-14

Young people are invited to explore the foundations of painting and drawing with Rick Dallago.

Students will elevate their painting and drawing skills— focusing on color theory, composition and creating a narrative. We will paint, draw, collage and look at art. Most importantly, we will have FUN, creating a lifelong appreciation and foundation for all future creative endeavors.

Classical Drawing for Youth

Elena Cantor, Instructor

Meets Wednesdays from 4:30-6

Ages 11-18

Elena Cantor coaches students wishing to develop their drawing skills in this foundational class. Students will copy master drawings by Charles Bargue in pencil and later in charcoal.

Portraiture for Teens

Raz Seri, Instructor

Meets Thursdays from 4:30-6

Ages 13-18

Learn how to draw a lifelike portrait from a model with Raz Seri's coaching and instruction. Classical methods will be taught and students will receive personal attention and instruction in this portfolio building class for teenagers.

Portfolio Prep and Review

Rick Dallago, Sharon Solomon, Ben Harden, instructors

Meets Fridays from 5:30-6:30 and by appointment

Ages 10 and older

Gain individualized support and guidance in building your own portfolio with review and personal advice.
