Join artist Rick Dallago for a four-week acrylic painting workshop inspired by Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers. Perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike, this class explores Van Gogh's expressive use of color theory and impasto techniques while introducing the fundamentals of acrylic painting.

Through guided instruction, participants will learn to mix vibrant colors, create rich texture with bold brushwork, and complete their own interpretation of this iconic masterpiece. Students will leave with a finished painting, new technical skills, and a deeper appreciation for Van Gogh's unique artistic vision—all in a relaxed, supportive, and fun environment.

Rick Dallago leads a four-week acrylic painting workshop inspired by Claude Monet's Waterlilies. Perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike, this class explores Monet's impressionist utechniques while introducing the fundamentals of acrylic painting.

Capture the beauty, light and movement that inspired Monet's famous series of waterlilies and learn more about the impressionist techniques that Monet perfected. Students will leave with a finished painting, new technical skills—in a hands-on exploration of Monet's masterpieces.

Jake Parker created Inktober in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year. Ninel will support students interested in creating one ink drawing a week using the Inktober 52 prompts. A great portfolio booster.

Chad Church guides students in the process of creating expressive figure sketches of a clothed life model and from photographs that show movement and form.

Expressive Portraiture Painting Workshop

Saturdays, August 15- September 26 from 12-2

Chad teaches how to make dramatic portraits from photos and live models using charcoal as an underdrawing and oil painting washes and thicker paint on top in this intermediate to advanced class.

 

November 7-December 12 Saturdays from 12-2

Drawing supplies and model feels provided as part of the class fee.​ Students will need to provide their own painting materials. A list of painting supplies will be sent to students who register for the class.

Create a portrait of a favorite house from a photo or create one from imagination​

 

Ninel will aid students in creating a mixed media drawing of a favorite building to be proud of. Perfect for gift giving and portfolio building.
