Figure Sketching Workshop​​

Saturday, January 31 and Saturday, February 7 from 12:30-4

BSOoFA instructor, Ben Harden teaches how to sketch from a live model in this two day workshop. Learn about the basics of human artistic anatomy and gain confidence in your figure sketching proportions. Ben will give individual instruction to students of all levels and help them observe the human figure realistically and render drawings they will be proud of. Students 15 and older allowed with parent's permission.

 

Model fees and basic drawing supplies provided as part of the class fee.

Acrylic Paint Workshop

Thursdays, February 5-26 from 6-8

Special guest, Rick Dallago, will teach acrylic painting and glazing of a still life in this four session workshop meeting Thursdays from 6-8. Working from a photo still life reference, students will first copy the outline of the image onto a canvas, and then paint it for a realistic look using color mixing and glazing. Make your New Year's Resolution 2026 to learn to paint with acrylics a reality in this fun and entertaining class.

 

All painting supplies provided as part of the class fee.

Classical Figure Workshop​​

Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 from 12:30-4

Boulder School of Fine Art Director, Raz Seri, teaches the principles of French Academy Figure Drawing in this two day workshop. The French Academy Long Pose is considered to be fundamental to learning to draw and paint the human figure. The model stands in the same position over the length of the workshop and students have time to observe their form, light and shadow of the model and render them with energy and personal style. Raz gives every student personal individual attention and helps everyone make a drawing to be proud of. Advanced students may paint with instructor's permission.

Advanced students may paint. Painting supplies are not provided - please see list below for recommended paint colors to bring.
