Classical PORTRAITURE

In Classical Portraiture, students begin by making a pencil sketch of the model's head with special attention to the head's anatomical structure over . After mastering the pencil sketch, they will progress to creating a tonal study of the model's head with either charcoal or oil paint. 

Students are encouraged to enroll in a Classical Drawing course before or while attending a portraiture or figure class. Art supplies are provided as part of the class fee for beginning level portraiture drawings.

Those wishing to pursue an in depth approach should sign up for the full course of 12

classes.

An afterschool portraiture class for teens meets Thursdays from 4:30-6
