Barb Benstein
Barbara Benstein is a national award-winning painter and art instructor who loves to work with students to help them develop their skills. She creates a positive energy in the classroom. Her workshops and classes include valuable information and demos, with hands-on practice and a lively, enjoyable atmosphere. She specializes in pastel and oil paintings of people and pets, as well as homes and landscapes. Before moving to Colorado, Barb taught art to teens and adults at the Main Street Art Center in Lake Zurich, Illinois for over 17 years.
"I love seeing students creating art and gaining confidence at the same time - It's very rewarding!" she says.
When Barb isn't in front of an easel she enjoys time with her two daughters and three grandchildren.
"Being with family keeps me grounded . . . creating art makes me soar."
