Gargoyles!

Learn the basics of sculpting in this introductory level class that meets on 6 Saturdays from 10-12 beginning September 7.

One of the oldest forms of art in the world is sculpting! And one of the easiest to learn is sculpture with paper clay. 


In this beginning sculpture course you will learn sculpting basics using air dryable clay. The goal is for everyone to be able to complete a sculptured gargoyle, and to be ready to move on with other projects on their own.

This is a family friendly sculpting class for students 9 to 99

Sculpting a Human Face 

Explore the process of sculpting a face by copying a simplified plaster form from the school's collection.


Learn how to make a fair copy of the original using air drying clay.

Beginning to advanced students will gain a direct understanding of basic facial features and will create a sculpture that they can take home when finished.
